Hashim Haskins was born in Virginia into a strict military family in the mid seventies. As a child moving from place to place opened his eyes to new and exciting worlds which aroused his creative mind. While living in Europe as a teenager he became intrigued with photography.

He embraced a photography class learning the basic 35mm camera, how to develop the film, and make prints from the negatives. Although, he wanted to pursue photography as a career, continued the family tradition and enlisted into the military, which he served for over 15 years. One discipline learned from his world travels carried over to photography is: Professionalism.

His resume consists of shooting production stills, musicians, and fashion: for the Movie "Room 236", the Dutchess, YungMilla, Melodime, and Orlando International Fashion Week, respectively. He is infatuated with incorporating selective perspectives to create engaging pieces of art. A facet you will find invaluable throughout his style is: Simplicity. Today, He is a hobbyist photographer in Roanoke, Virginia specializing in portraits, lifestyle, nature, street, still life, boudoir, and fine art nude photography.

When not shooting he enjoys spending precious time with his twin daughters whether watching them terrorize each other or enjoying a peaceful day at the park, it's never a dull moment.
